On AI, Truth, Power, and Democracy - Philosophy x AI CoP

AI is more than just technology—it shapes how we think, act, and interact with the world as part of sociotechnical systems. How can we use AI to pursue our goals as individuals, collectives and organizations? How can we build systems that empower us to exercise our agency and critical thinking?

The Philosophy x AI Community of Practice explores a multidisciplinar approach to navigating the AI wave. We will discuss its implications at different levels and analyze case studies using situated philosophical thought and systems thinking tools. The ultimate goal is for members to develop their own AI strategy and become active actors in the co-shaping of this technology and the futures it enables.

The focus of this session will be on the relationship between AI and truth, and its implications for power and democracy. We are excited to have Karime Brecailo Abib, the co-organizer of Impact's Hub Democracy and Leading the Change CoPs joining the discussion.
