Merge Film Festival

The Merge Film Festival, taking place from October 1–4, 2026, in Massagno, is Switzerland’s first film festival entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence.
For four days, Cinema Lux and other venues across the area will host screenings, masterclasses, talks, and international guests exploring the relationship between cinema and new technologies. The program will feature three competitive sections, one non-competitive section, and opportunities for dialogue with artists, filmmakers, researchers, and industry professionals.
Alongside the film program, the festival will expand into public spaces with an open-air area dedicated to food & beverage, live music, and activities open to the community.
