About the event

Details and agenda

Women Get IT Done. A Te Toca × WiNZ hackathon, two evenings with a full week to build in between. Te Toca is a Swiss women's health startup working on breast awareness and body literacy. A wearable bra with tactile guidance, an app, and workshops that 460+ women have been through. Women in Informatics Network Zurich (WiNZ) is the UZH ACM-W chapter, running academic, career, and community events for women in tech. Building on a real product, with real users and the founders right there in the room.

How it works
1 Oct, evening. You start by going through the Te Toca workshop yourself. Then, design thinking coaching to get your head into the problem, the challenge reveal, and Q&A. After that, you form your teams, and prepare to get locked in for the week. The week in between. Build on your own schedule. Each team has a WiNZ and a Te Toca mentor to check in with, and the app to poke at as much as you want. 8 Oct, evening. Five minutes to pitch, three to answer the judges. Winners and prizes, then an apéro to close it out.

Participants get Direct mentoring from the Te Toca founding team and WiNZ + Opportunity to work on a problem that actually impacts women
