Apertus is a fully open suite of large language models (LLMs) designed to address systemic shortcomings: data compliance, transparency and multilingual representation.
It was developed as part of the Swiss AI Initiative, led by EPFL and ETH Zurich alongside with engineers and infrastructure of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS).
